Margaret the thing i admired about you most is that you were never one to make a fuss. There was a time in work when we were told we could not be paid as there was no money. Everyone was freaking out..including me. we were talking about walking out, not working for nothing etc how the company had let us all down etc however you were as calm as cucumber. You said you didnt understand what all the fuss was about. You reminded us that at least we still had a job and we would get paid eventually..all the whinging and complaining etc wouldnt make the situation any better. You were the same as us in as much as you had no great savings to draw on, and were also concerned about your bills being paid on time etc but you remained calm and focussed. This actually helped me to regain control of my own thoughts and emotions and realise that actually you were right. We just had to carry on and know that as soon as it was possible we would get paid. Your loyalty and committment to the company was outstanding and your support to me as your manager was something i shall always be thankful for. I will always think of you in times of crisis or trouble and will always think about "what would Margaret say or do?".. i know then that i wont go far wrong. Please keep an ear open as im sure i will call on your steadfastness and loyalty and good sound advice in the future. My trusted friend. xx
